Christians : The well in Genesis 21:19 refers to well of Zamzam in mecca ?

Then God opened her eyes and she ( hagar) saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.
(Genesis 21:19)
God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became an archer.
(Genesis 21:20)

The location of that particular well can only be guessed at. If there is a tradition that the well of Zamzam in Mecca is the same well, then it’s still only a guess since the story comes from a time around 2000 BC.

What does Tsamina mina eh, eh Waka Waka eh, eh Tsamina mina sangalewa in the Shakira World Cup song means?

What..don’t ya speak Cameroonian Fang?
well, neither do I, but fortunately it is a well known song in that part of the world. So thank goodness for Google.

"Tsamina" originally by Golden Sounds (from Camaroon, 1986)

*" Tsaminamina" means Come.
* "Waka waka" means Do it - as in perform a task. Waka is pidgin language meaning walk while working.
* "TsaminaMina zangalewa" means where do you come from?.
* "Wana" means it is mine.
* "Zambo" means wait.

the "eheh" are more chanting, like singing a note for the musics sake, not a word.

Come, do what you came to do, where do you come from, / it is mine, wait……..
is the most literal translation.

Seems appropriate for the biggest international Football (Soccer) Tournament, don’t it?

about dream interpretation of Istikhara?

Asalamu alaikum…
I wanted some help and some interpretation for my istikhara. Baisically there’s this really nice and kind and alhamdulliah pious girl which I would really love to get married to, but she is in love with someone else. I tried to convince her that she should not rush into marriage but rather do istikhara and see if that person was right for her. Then I decided that maybe I should do the same.

My both dreams were after Fajr prayer, first dream was that I am at Masjid al Qubaa, putting on my Ihram, and then a man hands me a white prayer hat, and as soon as I am about to climb the bus to Mecca, a man grabs my arm his face is illuMinated in noor, all I see is his brown beard and he says to me "Fight! fight for her and Allah will take care of the rest!" I woke up, and kep thinking maybe it was just me imagining it, so did istikhara again, and this time me and this girl are at Masjid al Nabawi, both dressed in white, and she’s fiddling with a camera and I ask her shall we go in, and when we come infront of the prophet’s Qabr and are about to do duaa, she says to me "I wish my sister was here" and then I wake up and realised a sign was given.

However when I spoke to her about my dream, she became vexed and annoyed, what can I do? apart from duaa and prayer, for myslef and her, and wallahi I remember her in my every prayer without fail! that may Allah (SWT) guide her back onto Sirat al Mustaqeem…and myself…

Wassalam.

Bilal

It could be a guidance dream, or it could be that you so desire to have this particular girl that you caused this dream. Why not pray for Allah to send you the RIGHT person and not a specific person? People always want to control the will of Allah but are often unhappy when they get exactly who and what they pray for. Pray for the genuine wisdom and guidance of Allah; pray for forgiveness at being so head strong and controlling. Submit. Surrender.

Ramadan: How to make your wife happy?

* Begin with a good greeting.
* Start with Assalamau ‘Aliaykum and a smile. Salam is a sunnah and a du’aa for her as well.
* Shake her hand and leave bad news for later!

Sweet Speech and Enchanting Invitations

* Choose words that are positive and avoid negative ones.
* Give her your attention when you speak of she speaks.
* Speak with clarity and repeat words if necessary until she understands.
* Call her with the nice names that she likes, e.g. my sweet-heart, honey, saaliha, etc.

Friendliness and Recreation

* Spend time talking together.
* Spread to her goods news.
* Remember your good memories together.

Games and Distractions

* Joking around & having a sense of humor.
* Playing and competing with each other in sports or whatever.
* Taking her to watch permissible (halal) types of entertainment.
* Avoiding prohibited (Haram) things in your choices of entertainment.

Assistance in the Household

* Doing what you as an individual can/like to do that helps out, especially if she is sick or tired.
* The most important thing is making it obvious that he appreciates her hard work.

Consultation (Shurah)

* Specifically in family matters.
* Giving her the feeling that her opinion is important to you.
* Studying her opinion carefully.
* Be willing to change an opinion for hers if it is better.
* Thanking her for helping him with her opinions.

Visiting Others

* Choosing well raised people to build relations with. There is a great reward in visiting relatives and pious people. (Not in wasting time while visiting!)
* Pay attention to ensure Islamic manners during visits.
* Not forcing her to visit whom she does not feel comfortable with.

Conduct During Travel

* Offer a warm farewell and good advice.
* Ask her to pray for him.
* Ask pious relatives and friends to take care of the family in your absence.
* Give her enough money for what she might need.
* Try to stay in touch with her whether by phone, e-mail, letters, etc..
* Return as soon as possible.
* Bring her a gift!
* Avoid returning at an unexpected time or at night.
* Take her with you if possible.

Financial Support

* The husband needs to be generous within his financial capabilities. He should not be a miser with his money (nor wasteful).
* He gets rewards for all what he spends on her sustenance even for a small piece of bread that he feeds her by his hand (hadeith).
* He is strongly encouraged to give to her before she asks him.

Smelling Good and Physical Beautification

* Following the Sunnah in removing hair from the groin and underarms.
* Always being clean and neat.
* Put on perfume for her.

Aiding in the Obedience to Allah

* Wake her up in the last third of the night to pray "Qiyam-ul-Layl" (extra prayer done at night with long sujood and ruku’ua).
* Teach her what you know of the Qur’an and its tafseer.
* Teach her "Dhikr" (ways to remember Allah by the example of the prophet) in the morning and evening.
* Encourage her to spend money for the sake of Allah such as in a charity sale.
* Take her to Hajj and Umrah when you can afford to do so.

Showing Respect for her Family and Friends

* Take her to visit her family and relatives, especially her parents.
* Invite them to visit her and welcome them.
* Give them presents on special occasions.
* Help them when needed with money, effort, etc..
* Keep good relations with her family after her death if she dies first. Also in this case the husband is encouraged to follow the sunnah and keep giving what she used to give in her life to her friends and family.

Admirable Jealousy

* Ensure she is wearing proper hijab before leaving house.
* Restrict free mixing with non-mahram men.
* Avoiding excess jealousy.
Examples of this are:
1- Analyzing every word and sentence she says and overloading her speech by meanings that she did not mean
2- Preventing her from going out of the house when the reasons are just.
3- Preventing her from answering the phone.

Patience and Mildness

* Problems are expected in every marriage so this is normal. What is wrong is excessive responses and magnifying problems until a marital breakdown.
* Anger should be shown when she exceeds the boundaries of Allah SWT, by delaying prayers, backbiting, watching prohibited scenes on TV, etc..
* Forgive the mistakes she does to you.

Correcting her Mistakes

* First, implicit and explicit advice several times.
* Then by turning your back to her in bed (displaying your feelings). Note that this does not include leaving the bedroom to another room, leaving the house to another place, or not talking with her.
* The last solution

When to wear ihram for umrah?

Am going umrah next month and it’s my first time so go easy please?

What do i need to learn before i go umrah? besides Arabic.

When do i wear umrah in the plane, makkah or in the hotel?

any ideas???????

it is best that you assume ihram before approaching the miqat (the place where pilgrims should wear ihram before passing it) or at the miqat. It depends on where you will be flying from; the miqat is usually announced during the flights of Saudi airlines.

In As-Sahihayn and elsewhere it is narrated from Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) defined the miqat of the people of Madinah as Dhul-Hulayfah; that of the people of Ash-Sham (Syria) as Al-Juhfa; that of the people of Najd as Qarn al-Manazil; and that of the people of Yemen as Yalamlam. And he said: “And these miqats are for the people at those very places, as well as for those who come through those places with the intention of Performing Hajj and ‘Umrah; and whoever is living within these boundaries can enter Ihram from the place where he starts off.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
