What color clothing should women wear while performing Ummrah?

Salaam Everyone!

I was wondering if anyone knew the rules regarding clothing for women during the performance of Ummrah? I have tried researching on the internet, but none of the websites mentioned anything about "what color" the clothing should be in the state of Ihram etc. I know that for men, the Ihram clothing should be white but I wonder if the same concept applies to women as well, so I need some clarification on this issue. If I can get some responses with reference to authentic Islamic Hadiths/Quranic verses etc, that would be great help!

All help would be appreciated!!

Thanks in advance.

There are no rules of color, however you need to ensure opacity.

Hajj (A Muslim’s Pilgrimage to Mecca) Question?

I am doing a project on the Hajj and I was wondering about two things:

What are the Tawaf-e-Ziarat and the Wuquf-e-Arafat?

I imagine they are some kind of prayer, but all I could find on them was that they were two of the three (along with the Ihram) tasks that must be completed to validate your Hajj.

Thanks in advance! (:
So it’s just another name for the circling of the Kaaba?

There are two Tawaf (going around of the Ka’ba) when first arriving and then leaving

- Wuquf or standing at Arafat is the last day where you make supplication till sunset on Mount Arafa

What is the mean” Talbiyah ”?

After puting the Ihram. Men and Women offer two Rakts of Nfil [ supererogatory] prayer Followed by Recitation of their ” Intention” and saying the following words ;; Labbaik. Allahumma labbik; la Shareek-laka labbiki Innalhamda wan-na mata-laka Wal-Mulka Lashreeka-laka
TRASLATION ; ” Here I aM. O Allah. I am in thy August presence;There is no Associate with Thee, Here. am I, Surely All Praise.is thine And all Favors are Thine and The Kingdom is Thine,There is no Associate with Thee,
There is a point find what that

point,

Talbiyah - Answer the call of Allah, to show intention.

The Talbiyah is a Muslim prayer invoked by the pilgrim as a conviction that their intent is to perform the Hajj only for the glory of Allah. Talbiyah is repeated during the Hajj, Pilgrimage and upon putting on the Ihram, so the pilgrims can purify and rid themselves of worldly concerns.

The Hajj - A short poem [Ramadan]?

Translated by Usama Hasan
The Hajj - The Journey
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By Him whose House the loving pilgrims visit,
Responding with ihram at the appointed limit,
Uncovering their heads in total humility
Before One to Whom faces bow in servility.
They exclaim in the valleys, "We have responded to You -
All Praise is Yours, and Kingdom too!"
He invited and they answered, with love and pleasure;
When they called upon Him, nearer came the Divine treasure.
You see them on their mounts, hair dusty and dishevelled,
Yet never more content, never happier have they felt;
Leaving homelands and families due to holy yearning,
Unmoved are they by temptations of returning.
Through plains and valleys, from near and far,
Walking and riding, in submission to Allah.
At the Ka’bah
When they see His House - that magnificent sight
For which the hearts of all creatures are set alight -
It seems they’ve never felt tired before,
For their discomfort and hardship is no more.
Now the eye of the Lover drowns in its streams,
It sees through its tears the goal of its dreams;
Now for Allah, how many tears are issued,
Each one being followed by a multitude?
When the eye perceives the House, its darkness clears,
And from the sorrowful heart, pain disappears;
Vision cannot encompass this beautiful sight:
Each glance returns with greater delight!
No wonder at this, for when the Merciful preferred
The House for Himself, it became most honoured.
He clothed it in Majesty, a magnificent garment;
Embroidered it with Beauty, a wonderful ornament!
The hearts all love the House therefore,
Awed and humbled, in respect and honour.
‘Arafat
Now to ‘Arafat, hoping for Mercy and Forgiveness
From the One overflowing with Generosity and Kindness;
Now for Allah is that Magnificent Standing
Like, though lesser than, the Day of Reckoning.
The Irresistible draws near, His Majesty manifest,
Boasting to His angels, for He is the Mightiest,
"My slaves have come to Me so lovingly,
I’ll be Generous and Merciful, willingly.
I have forgiven their sins, – to this you are witness –
Fulfilled their hopes, and showered them with goodness."
So joyous news! O people of that standing,
When sins are forgiven and Mercy is spreading;
How many slaves are set completely free?
Whilst others seek a cure, and heal will He.
Now Satan is never known to lose such face:
He’s blameworthy, rejected, in utter disgrace.
For he sees a matter that enrage him must:
He flees, slaps his face and covers it in dust!
Such Forgiveness he never did see
As granted by the Lord, and such Mercy!
He built his edifice from every temptation available
Till he thought it was complete, unassailable;
Then Allah struck his building at its very foundation,
So it fell upon him, tumbling in devastation;
What worth has his structure, this evil ploy,
That he does build, and the Lord does destroy?
Muzdalifah & Mina
Now to Muzdalifah, to spend the night
In the Sacred Area, then Prayer at first light;
Now on to the Great Pillar, which they need
To stone at the time of the Prayer of ‘Id;
Now to their tents for the sacrifice prepared,
Reviving the tradition of a Father revered.
If sacrificing themselves were Allah’s demand,
They would respond, submitting to the command;
Just as they’d expose their necks in Jihad
To Allah’s enemies, till these stream with blood;
They discipline themselves, presenting the head for a shave:
Bringing humility and happiness to the obedient slave.
The Tawaf of Ifadah/Ziyarah
So when they’ve removed those natural growths,
Completed their rites, and fulfilled their oaths,
He invites them again to visit His House:
What honour and welcome this visit allows!
By Allah, they visit it in so much splendour,
Receiving their rewards and plenty of honour;
There Allah bestows Grace, Favour and Kindness,
Showing Generosity, Mercy and Forgiveness.
Mina
Then they return to Mina, each to his tent,
Every minute wish is granted, and they are content;
They stay there a day, then another, then a third,
They’re allowed to depart early, but to stay is preferred;
They stone the pillars daily after the sun’s decline,
With a slogan of Takbir in the presence of the Divine!
If only you could see their standing there:
Palms outstretched, hoping for Mercy’s share!
"O Lord! O Lord! Knowing as You do
That we hope for no-one, only You!
Then grant our wish, O You All-Knowing,
We pray for Your Mercy overflowing."
The Farewell Tawaf
When they’ve achieved at Mina all their gains,
Once more they fill the valleys and plains:
To the Ka’bah, the Sacred House, by the end of the day,
To circle it seven times, and then to Pray.
When departure nears and they are certain
That the bond of proximity is about to loosen,
There’s only a last stand for a final farewell:
Now for Allah are the eyes that swell,
And for Allah are the heavy hearts that turn
Into cauldrons of desire where fire does burn;
And the passionate sighs whose heat so vigorous
Nearly melts the Lover, ecstatic, rapturous!
Now you see those bewildered, perplexed in the throng,
Whilst others chant their sorrowful song:
"I depart, but there remains for You my yearning,
My fire of grief is raging and burning;
I bid farewell, but longing pulls my reins -
My heart is encamped in Your eternal plains!"
No blame today for saying what you feel:
No blame for expressing what you used to conceal!
what a fine memories one can have,
it is a heart melting rekindling flames
every year the body, the soul, the heart want to go
Labiaka Allah hum’ma Labaic:
I obey You o Allah I obey
here I came with broken heart you can heal
here I came with mountains of sins only you can wipe
here I came with fear and hope, here I came I hate to leave
thinking of love I remember yours, seeing glory no one but you
You are my Creator, my Lord, my God, my Glory, no one put you
ramadan: what color of Ihram (hajj robe) you wear when / if you go hajj?
I’m sure we all use white.
so why you only see our differences??
we all muslim, Only Allah who may judge whether we right or wrong. or you shia have different Ihram? and you sunni?
Assalamualaikum
Beautiful analogy, may Allah reward you for this.
We can never know with certainty who is truly right and who is truly sincere, only Allah has knowledge of such, that is why we should leave the judging to Allah and not go around committing something close to Shirk by doing Allah’s job and openly declaring others as Kaafir especially when they say they Muslim and have uttered the Shahadah, so who are we to judge.
We can express disagreement and concern but let Allah ultimately be the Judge as He is the All-Knowing not any of us mere mortals.
I’m a Unity Fan (for Sunni, Shia, Sufi, Muslim unity) and I consider myself Muslim only (neither Sunni nor Shia nor Sufi)
And Allah knows best
May Allah forgive you and I if we’ve uttered any wrong here
May Allah provide us with guidance
Ramadan Section:::What are some easy actions that have multiple rewards? - part 1?
Salam Alaikum brothers and sisters =)
1. Preserving the ties of kinship:
" Whoever wishes that his provision be increased and his age lengthened, let him maintain the ties of kinship." [al-Bukhari and Muslim]
2. Performing many prayers in the two noble Harams (in Makkah and Madinah):
"Prayer in this masjid of mine is superior to a thousand prayers elsewhere, except for Masjid al-Haram, and prayer in Masjid al-Haram is superior to one hundred thousand prayers elsewhere." [Ahmad and ibn Majah]
3. Performing prayers in congregation.
"Prayer in congregation is superior to praying individually twenty-seven times." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
4. Praying `Isha and Fajr in congregation:
"He who prays Isha’ in Jama’ah [congregation] is as if he has prayed for half the night. As to him who (also) prays Fajr in congregation, it is as if he has prayed all night." [narrated by Malik and the wording is that of Muslim who also reported it]
5. Performing voluntary prayers at home.
"Superiority of a man’s prayer in his home over his prayer when people see him is like the superiority of an obligatory prayer over a voluntary one." [al-Bayhaqi, classed as Saheeh by al-Albani] "The most superior prayer of a person is in his home, except for obligatory prayers." [al-Bukhari and Muslim]
6. Observing some manners of the day of Jumu`ah:
"Whoever ghassala on the day of Jumuah, then comes in the earliest time and before the first khutbah, walks and doesn’t ride, stays near the Imam, listens and does not speak - for each step [he makes] he has actions of one year, the reward of fasting and standing in prayer in it." [Ahl as-Sunan]
7. Salat ul-Ishraq.
"Whoever prays al-ghadaa (i.e. al fajr) in congregation, then sits remembering Allah until sunrise, then prays two units of prayer, has a complete reward of Hajj and `Umrah [The Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, repeated 'complete' three times for emphasizing]." [at-Tirmidhi, classed as Saheeh by al-Albani]
8. Attending lectures in the mosque.
"Whoever goes to the mosque not desiring except to learn or teach what is good has the reward of a pilgrim who completed his Hajj." [at-Tabarani, classed as Saheeh by Al-Albani]
9. Performing `Umrah in the month of Ramadhan.
"`Umrah in Ramadhan is equal to a Hajj with me." [al-Bukhari]
10. Performing obligatory prayers in the Mosque.
"Whoever leaves his home in a state of purity to perform obligatory prayer, his reward is like that of a pilgrim (while) in the state of Ihram [i.e. he receives reward similar to that of spending time in ihram during Hajj]." [Abu Dawud, classed as Saheeh by Al-Albani] So one should be in a state of purity when leaving one’s home, rather than the place for ablution within the mosque, except due to necessity.
11. Being from the people of the first row in congregational prayers.
`Irbad bin Saariyah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, used to seek forgiveness for [the people of] the first row three times, and for [the people of the] second row once." [an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah]. "Allah and His Angels make salawat upon [the people of] the first row." [Ahmad, with a good isnad]
12. Prayer in Masjid Qubaa’ in Madinah:
"Whoever purifies himself in his house then comes to Masjid Qubaa’ and prays in it has the reward like that of `Umrah." [an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah]
there is a 2nd part to this .. so dont miss it =)
and what do you think about these points?
BarakAllahu Fik for your time =)
So why ask such a question and then give a load of answers - I can’t see what sort of an answer you expect from the rest of us - you’ve already done all the work.
why did the caliphs bring bidas in religion and why didn’t Imam Ali (as) follow their bidas?
Sa’id b. al-Musayyab reported that ‘Ali and ‘Uthman (Allah be pleased with them) met at ‘Usfan; and Uthman used to forbid (people) from performing Tamattu’ and ‘Umra (during the period of Hajj), whereupon ‘Ali said: What is your opinion about a matter, which the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) did but you forbid it? Thereupon Uthman said: You leave us alone, whereupon he (’Ali) said: I cannot leave you alone. When ‘Ali saw this, he put on Ihram for both of them together (both for Hajj and ‘Umra).
Sahih Muslim, Book 007, Number 2816
First of all, there were ONLY 4 Caliphs in Islam, 1. Hazrat Abu Baker (R.A) 2. Hazrat Umar-e Farooq (R.A). 3. Hazrat Usman bin Afan (R.A), 4. Hazrat Ali (R.A). Second there are 5 types of Bidah’s, good and bad Bidahs first learn about what is Bidah than post a question and make sure you have enough evidence to support and in detail as well.
I hope I helped
If you are a resident of KSA, then can you wear the ihram in Makkah for Umrah?
Please do let me know soon …..
Thank you
No, you can’t. Unless you’re a resident of Makkah, then you can wear your ihram at home, and make your intention at home.
But if you a resident of other cities, you have to wear your ihram and make your intention(niyaah) on the miqaat that are designated for you. For example, if you live in Riyadh, then your miqaat is Qarnu ‘l-Man?zil which is located about 1 hour driving from Makkah. If you live in Madinah, then your miqaat is Zu ‘l-Hulafa.
Please don’t miss your miqaat if you have the intention to make Umrah. Because if you miss it, then you’ll have to go back again.
PS:
I have to edit and add my answer … It is OK to wear the Ihram clothes, taking a shower/janabah, etc before you reach the miqaat. It is better if you do it at the miqaat. BUT … the intention/niyaah, you have to do it at the miqaat or as you’re passing the miqaat.
One time we were leaving from Riyadh by plane and my husband wore his Ihram from home. Just before we pass by the miqaat, the pilot announced it and everybody say their niyaah/intention. If you’re going on Hajj from another country, before you reach Jeddah airport, the pilot would also make announcement so everybody can make their niyaah/intention.
And Islaam is not democracy. Allaah has prescribed things that are allowed, things that are forbidden, and how to do some rites and rituals.If something is not correct, then it is still wrong even if all Muslims do it. We have to always go back to the Qur’aan and Sunnah, and follow how Our Prophet SAW did something.
Wearing the Ihram clothes is one thing, but saying the niyaah/intention is another thing.
