[2:158] The knolls of Safa and Marwah are among the rites decreed by GOD. Anyone who observes Hajj or `Umrah commits no error by traversing the distance between them. If one volunteers more righteous works, then GOD is Appreciative, Omniscient.

[ 2:196] You shall observe the complete rites of Hajj and `Umrah for GOD. If you are prevented, you shall send an offering, and do not resume cutting your hair until your offering has reached its destination. If you are ill, or suffering a head injury (and you must cut your hair), you shall expiate by fasting, or giving to charity, or some other form of worship. During the normal Hajj, if you break the state of Ihram (sanctity) between `Umrah and Hajj, you shall expiate by offering an animal sacrifice. If you cannot afford it, you shall fast three days during Hajj and seven when you return home - this completes ten -provided you do not live at the Sacred Masjid. You shall observe GOD, and know that GOD is strict in enforcing retribution.

alhdmulilah i have an opportunity to to go Mecca this month. but i want to fully understand and be prepared before i do. do u perform the same actions as u would with making hajj. what are thos actions. where do u stay and for how long. are men and women beside eachother. do some sleep ther…. :p i just want as much info as possible thanks a lot! salam

can’t help you…try googling it and read stories about people who have made haj.

(Also, when you are they…following by example of the others works. Lastly, please be careful for I know stories of people who got trampled to death every year…so make sure yor shoelaces are tied and you don’t trip, etc. You’ll be doing lots of walking and some running to, so tennies are a must. All I know is during the mountain and running part the men run with the men and the women with the women and the women are allowed to walk part ways. (what my sister told me, she did Hajj last year))

I have seen different groups of shia pilgrims doing different things during haj and visits.

yes they of course are muslims and i think that u know it better than me.i also sometimes think r they muslims or not but then i think that why will they tell a lie.i don’t think that anyone of them would have performed an Umrah or Hajj b’coz they r so much busy in their film life that they don’t even think that is their any god or not and i think we don’t have to worry about what is going to happen with them will they go to hell or heaven and i think that they definitely go to HELL.
