whats the truth behind zamzam water sprint in mecca ?

does this water cure people from their sickness ?
doctors has nothing to do with that

the spring from where Zamzam water is coming is being said that is the place from where ismail hit the ground and the water came out.
in the old chinese medicine is said that water and nothing else can clean the body of the any disease.
this is a water rich in some minerals and some researchers said it may contains high level of arsenic and may be poisonous at some extend.
my wonder is that they find that spring in the desert.and you know how is arabian desert.

Non muslim, take the challange to reduce water in abe zamzam, near kabah, the house Allah, structured by Abraham?

abe zumzum, the water spring near kabah, the house of Allah made by Abraham(pbuh), is full of water from 7000 years, even wen whole world is extractng water from it. the entire city of mecca and Madina live on the water of that sprinf and it is there from 7000 years and will continue to give water like this till the end of world, AND THIS IS IN A LAND WHERE THERE IS ALMOST NO RAIN.

so will you still deny about Allah or can u take the challange to reduce its water if it is not a miracle

Allah is not going to come in front of humans that here i am, worship me, bcz it will ruin the whole concept of belief in God, as it requires believe in the unseen, faith based on signs of Allah, and this is a sign.

and it has been proved in parallel universe concept of M theory of particle physics that we cant see parallel universes by any means, so it is scientific that a unseen world does exist, read about M theory.

And can u give a single reason that y the water level doesnt get reducd no matter how much powerfull pump one may use, no matter the entire world starts livng on its water bt it will nvr reduce

the question is not from where does the water comes, the questn is no matter wat u do bt it never get redcd nor will it,

saudis with there most powrfull pumps which are running from years, are extrctng water frm it and not even a single drop is reducd

even if one fills an enite ocean with it, Inshallah it will nevr reduce, Its not mine, Its Allah’s promise
to Leviathan:- are u Christian or an atheist, if u r a Christian then u doubting Prphet Abraham and Prophet Ismail, i dnt knw whther ur bible still contains the story of structuring of kabah or not, bt let me tell u that, most of the stories of bible which u contribute to isaac are actually stories of ismail in islam, including the story in which abraham agreed to sacrifice isaac as per God’s order
To Melnazar, improve ur knowledge of islam, kabah was built first by Adam but was rebuilted by Abraham(pbuh), it got repaired thereafter, AND ABEZAMZAM WAS GIVEN AS A GIFT TO ISMAIL AND HIS MOTHER ON THE PRAYER OF ABRAHAM, WHEN HE LEFT THEM IN Mecca. it was 7000 years ago
TO THE BRAIN:- u think u r better knower of water resources than me, do not i knw there are undrgrnd water resources, but no single well can fulfill the needs of all water requirmnt of two metros and of millions of devotees who come there each day, go and take any amount of water u want from there, and supply it to anywhere u want, u will never find any reduction in it. the saudis supply it to there cities, u can supply it to yours
Chritsians do not tell me wat Abraham(pbuh) did wat he didnt, he was our prophet, he was the father of all prophets after him, i know about him better than you, if ur priest would hv not contaMinated Bible, u would hv know that he built kabah, and the Hajj we perform is His traditions which we follow, and the holy stone" makame ibrahimi" in near kabah is his footsteps, first read about islam and then argue me in some other forum
it can never dry up cant u see that, it may happen that if water is extracted at very high rate thenfor a small period of time its level get reduced by small amount, but it replenishes itself quickly even if water is extracted at the same rate.

And those who say that its challange can never be tested, dont u see that people are continuously extracting water from it from the times of Abraham, and they are coming from all over the world in millions, each day.

Go and read the history of makkah first and history of hajj pilgrimage first. Hajj was perfomed even before Prophet muhammad, however its form was different, but drinking of Abe zamzam and taking it back to there homes was tradition that was followed continuously since the time of abraham
to melnazar, who said kabah was not filled with statues, we all know that, it was due to ignorance of banu quraish and banu tamim, the descendant of ismail that they forgot almost all of the teachngs of ismail and abraham and started paganism, this was the time wen last prophet came to replenish islam.

And this is no new, it happened with every prophet, with Moses also. during the time of Moses, bani Israeilis forgot almost all the teachngs of Yakub(Jacob), opposed Moses at many occasions, they started worshpng cow’s statue in his absence, they even denied Jesus as promised massiah. the same happen during the time of last Prophet. His tribe used to follow paganism that time and filled space around kabah with statues.

You are gonna get flamed for this brother and so am I, but yes, allah is magnificent. =)

Christians : The well in Genesis 21:19 refers to well of Zamzam in mecca ?

Then God opened her eyes and she ( hagar) saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.
(Genesis 21:19)
God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became an archer.
(Genesis 21:20)

The location of that particular well can only be guessed at. If there is a tradition that the well of Zamzam in Mecca is the same well, then it’s still only a guess since the story comes from a time around 2000 BC.

Does anyone knows the source of the story of Hagar and Ismael miraculously having zamzam water?

The story was something like an angel who finally appeared to Hagar and dug the ground by its wing/heel to extract the water..
I am asking this because I was reading a translation of Quran in roman english and I remembered reading about this story in it. But now, I have checked every chapter and it is really nowhere to be found.

So I’d like to know what is the source of the story. It is not from Biblical Genesis, because it doesnt talk about an angel digging the ground part..

its actually a hadeeth that relayed this story.. I hate to copy and paste, but here:

Ibn ‘Abbaas, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said: "When Ibraaheem (Abraham) had differences with his wife, (because of her jealousy of Haajar, Ismaa’eel’s (Ishmael) mother), he took Ismaa’eel and his mother and went away. They had a water-skin with them containing some water, Ismaa’eel’s mother used to drink water from the water-skin so that her milk would increase for her child. When Ibraaheem reached Makkah, he made her sit under a tree and afterwards returned home. Ismaa’eel’s mother followed him, and when they reached Kada, she called him from behind, `O Ibraaheem! To whom are you leaving us?’ He replied, ‘(I am leaving you) to Allaah’s (Care).’ She said, ‘I am satisfied to be with Allaah.’ She returned to her place and started drinking water from the water-skin, and her milk increased for her child. When the water had all been used up, she said to herself, ‘I would better go and look so that I may see somebody.’ She ascended the hill of the Safaa and looked, hoping to see somebody, but in vain. When she came down to the valley, she ran till she reached the hill of the Marwah. She ran to and from (between the two hills) many times. Then she said to herself, ‘I would better go and see the state of the child,’ she went and found it in a state of one on the point of dying. She could not endure to watch her child dying and said (to herself), ‘If I go and look, I may find somebody.’ She went and ascended the hill of the Safaa and looked for a long while but could not see anybody. Thus she completed seven rounds (of running) between Safaa and Marwah. Again she said (to herself), ‘I would better go back and see how the child is doing.’ But all of a sudden she heard a voice, and she said to that strange voice, ‘Help us if you can offer any help.’ It was Gabriel (who had made the voice). Gabriel hit the earth with his heel like this (Ibn ‘Abbaas, may Allaah be pleased with him, hit the earth with his heel to illustrate it), and so the water gushed out. Ismaa’eel’s mother was astonished and started digging … She started drinking from the water and her milk increased for her child…" [Al-Bukhaari]

Is its normal for a well to keep producing water for thousands of years?

I read about this well in Saudia Arabia beside "the Kaba" which is like the holiest place in Islam. "Zamzam Well" they call it.
This well has been around and producing water non stop since 2000 BC..

Is it geologically normal for a well in such desert to keep producing water all this years?

Yes, it’s normal. As long as the well is properly constructed and in the right conditions, a well could produce water indefinitely.

Why does Qur’an not bore or cause weariness?

This is the wonderful eloquence in its wording; that is, in the words employed. Yes, just as the Qur’an is extraordinarily eloquent in regard to its style and manner of exposition, so is there a truly fluent eloquence in its wording. Clear evidence of the existence of this eloquence is the fact that it does not bore or cause weariness; while the testimony of the brilliant scholars of the sciences of rhetoric forms a decisive proof of the wisdom of the eloquence.

Yes, it does not weary even if repeated thousands of times; indeed, it gives pleasure. It is not burdensome for the memory of a small and simple child; children can memorize it easily. It is not unpleasant to the ear, pained by the slightest word, of someone extremely ill; it is easy on it. It is like sherbet to the palate of one in the throes of death. The recitation of the Qur’an gives sweet pleasure to the ear and mind of such a person just like Zamzam water to his mouth and palate. The reason for its not causing boredom, and the wisdom of it, is this: it is food and sustenance for the heart, strength and wealth for the mind, water and light for the spirit, and the cure and remedy for the soul. Everyday we eat bread, yet we do not tire of it. But if we were to eat the choicest fruit every day, it would cause boredom. That means it is because the Qur’an is truth and reality and truthfulness and guidance and wonderfully eloquent that it does not cause weariness and preserves its freshness and agreeableness as though preserving a perpetual youth. One of the Qurayshi leaders even, an expert orator, was sent by the idolators to listen to the Qur’an. He went and listened, then returned and said to them: “These words have such a sweetness and freshness that they do not resemble the words of men. I know the poets and soothsayers; these words do not resemble theirs. The best we can do is mislead our followers and say it is magic.”
What do you think about it?

Assalamu Alaikum.
Well said. There is nothing like that of Quran. Nothing Nothing and Nothing. You listen it hundred times, thousand times,,, you are addicted more and more. The beauty increases, the taste increases. Because when we are reciting Quran or listening to it. We are reciting words that are pure. Our heart is listening to words that are pure which is from Creator and not of any creations.

Allâh has sent down the Best statement, a Book (this Qur’ân), its parts resembling each other (in goodness and truth), and oft-repeated. The skins of those who fear their Lord shiver from it (when they recite it or hear it). Then their skin and their heart soften to the remembrance of Allâh. That is the guidance of Allâh. He Guides therewith whom He wills and whomever Allâh sends astray, for him there is no guide. (39:23)

What is the science behind zamzam?

I do not want islamic explanations on how the Zamzam was formed. I already know that.

I need to know the science behind it. As I do not blindly follow religion and believe that this holy water has some source. I was not able to find it online. Does anyone know where this water comes from? What’s the source of this holy water(i.e. sea)?
Maybe people do try to show off but the point of my question was to know the science behind it.

Why is it clean? and where does it come from?

It’s groundwater, just like any other well.

Do you have nice photos of children/grown ups at the zamzam well?

Salam alaikum! I’m in the process of writing a children’s book about Mekka. The book will be for muslim and non-muslim children to learn more about the kaaba, inshallah. I have a number of photos that some friends gave me from their recent Umrah, but I don’t have any with Zamzam in them. I would love to have one showing a child taking wudu with it, or a nice one with a grown up. It would be nice to have one showing the actual well, basically something which gives an uninformed reader an idea of how the whole thing looks (so maybe not too crowded).

I am also interested in any other nice photos you might share showing children in the areas of mekka/medina (in the mosques or otherwise). It is important that the pictures are not blurry and that the main people in them agree to them being published for this cause. They could be touched up for lighting problems etc though, and cut smaller etc.

If you or someone you know has photos which I might be able to use, I would be very interested. May Allah reward all those who may help, and I ask for your duas that this project can work. Thank you!
mintee- I’m working with real photos - there are lots of cartoonish books around about Islam, yes, but they don’t really make it seem real. Thanks for the tip about the bookstore, I’m also looking finto local publishers there in case you know appropriate ones (you seem to have some insight into the bookworld there). There seem to be few.

as for googling pictures - of course I have done that. And flikr etc. No luck.

Thanks!

the pics in the museum are AMaZinG. it’d be great if you could get hold of them

May Allah guide us all
