The book “Raudur Riyaheen” mentions a story of a thief narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Shibli.

He says;

“Once I was travelling to Syria along with a group of other travellers when on the way we were plundered by a gang of thieves. They took all our possessions and put them in front of their gang leader. Amongst the goods were a bag of sugar and almonds, the thieves began to eat them but their leader did not join them.

I asked him why the rest of his gang was eating but he was not, he replied, “I am fasting”. I asked surprisingly, “How is it that you steal from people and fast at the same time?” He replied, “A man should do something to keep the doors of reconciliation open as well”.

Sometime later I saw the same gang leader in a state of “Ihram” performing tawaaf [circulating around] of the blessed ka’ba. His face was resplendent with the light of worship and he had weakened himself through devotional practices. I asked surprisingly, “Are you the same man?” he answered,

“Yes, I am, and let me tell you, that very same fast is what caused my reconciliation with Allah".
_______
what is something that you Do to keep the doors of reconciliation open …?

nice story

Shivering chill and sweating heat are the characteristics of India. The hill stations of India are the perfect relief from the heating hot and to enjoy nature. With snow covered mountains, meandering rivers, apples, cherries and pines orchids, the hill stations of India offer a relief from the sweating heat of the summers. They allure the tourists again and again to breath in their lap.

India is bestowed with some of the beautiful hill stations. Infact tourists often get confused where to lay down in this huge lap of nature. Some famous hill stations of North India are Shimla, Manali, Dalhousie, Ladakh, Nainital, Almora, Badrinath, Kausani, Mussoorie, Gulmarg, Pahalgaon, Mount Abu and many more. In the enchanting east it is darjeeling.

In the enchanting east it is darjeeling, sikkim, shillong and kohima. We get Mount abu, Lonavala, Panchgani, Satputa etc. in the wonderful west. And the soothing south offers us with places like Munnar, Ooty, Coorg, Kodaikannal and coonoor.

All hill stations of India are beautiful their own way. My endeavor in this article is to provide the tourists about the glimpses of the hill stations of North India.

Shimla – Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, is one of the beautiful hill stations of North India. There are some interesting places in and around Shimla like Kurfi, Naldehra, Jaku temple, Institution of Advance studies and so on. The picturesque surroundings of Shimla is completely different and it is often compared with European country. Shimla is famous for outdoor sports like skating, river rafting, rock climbing and trekking.

Manali – Another mind blowing spot in the lap of Himachal Pradesh is Manali. It is a favourite honeymoon spot. Besides the historical temples, the river Vyas gives the city a rhythmic touch. Rohtang pass, 51 km from Manali town is really a breathtaking place with snow surrounding the area. The Mall Road of Manali is an exciting place for shopping.

Dalhousie – This romantic hill station of Himachal Pradesh reminds us of the colonial era. A part from lush greenery, the churches of Dalhousie are famous tourists’ attractions.

Nainital – Nainital is a lovely town in the hill of Kumaon. It is dotted with lakes but the most prominent lake is the Naini lake. Places like Bhimtal, Ranikhet, Ramgarh, Kasauni, Mukteshwar are some of the places with beautiful landscape near Nainital.

Mussoorie – Mussoorie, the ‘queen of the hill’, is situated in the Garhwal hills. Dehradoon and Mussoorie are very near by and tourist often cover these two places on their visit to the Garhwal hills.

Gulmarg and Pahalgaon – Gulmarg and Pahalgaon are two places in Jammu and Kashmir, and are considered as paradise on earth. Hiking around the hills, pony riding, trekking to near by mountain lakes are what make the places truly special.

Ladakh – The most spectacular hill stations of north India is Ladakh. It is completely different from the other hill stations of India. It is the most remote region of Himalayan Kingdom. Ladakh is described as the ‘land of high passes’. It is a land of Lamas.

Chardham- Badrinath, Kedar nath, Gangotri, Yamunotri are the Hindu Pilgrimage located in the backdrop of enchanting Himalaya. These places are ideal spots for religious people. The serene tranquil beauty with mythological background, the char dham are often described as land of God.

It is a never ending task when some one starts about describing the hill stations of north India. It is not possible to give a vivid description of all the hill stations. But holidays in any of the hill stations of north India give the tourist a lasting impression of hugging nature.

Getting there

All the hill stations of North India are easily accessible from Delhi or via Delhi. Only Ladakh needs a bit prior planning

Accommodation

All the hill stations have plenty of accommodations but during peak season due to excessive rush it is always suggested to do the prior booking of the hotels.

The great thing about Sardinia is……actually there are many great things about Sardinia which is why doing a fly/drive style escape here is ideal. Not only do you get to delve into its rich historical past, laze around on perfect, sandy beaches and dine on fabulous, fresh seafood but you can do it all with a sense of wild, abandonment.

No matter which Sardinia airports you fly into, Alghero Airport in the northwest, Cagliari Airport in the south or Olbia Airport in the northeast, it is possible to arrange car hire. If your choose to start your gypsy-esque adventure in the northwest though, the Aghero Airport car hire companies are AM Service, Avis, Easy, Europcar, Hertz, Maggiore, Midarent, Ruviolo, Sardinya, Sicily and Thrifty.

Alghero itself is a great place to start, although not the most traditionally Sardinian. This area is heavily influenced by the Catalonians, with Catalan still the official language. Although a Mecca for sun worshippers and marine enthusiasts with a wide range of water sports available from windsurfing through to yachting, Sardinia is packed full of archaeological and architectural wonders that are worth exploring.

Possibly the closest of these treasures and not far from Sardinia Alghero Airport itself is Anghelu Ruju, a necropolis discovered only in 1903. This network of underground tombs date back to Neolithic times and are intricately decorated inside with pillars, fascias and even bulls´ heads. Although the findings have been removed, replicas can be found at the Museo e Tenuta Vitivinicola situated 1km further up the Porte Torres road. There are no refreshments on sale at the tombs however so if you plan to have a good look round bring your own refreshment with you. Tickets cost around 2 euros.

A 45 minute drive further north up the coast is Argentiera, an old abandoned mining town. From the Roman era until as late as 1963, silver was mined here, when production ceased as the source ran out. Everything that was once used, from the shafts to the miners´ quarters and chapel, remain intact but without human occupation the atmosphere is eerie and unsettling.

If the experience at Argentiera leaves you with a chill, then head to the powder white beach of La Pelosa, near Stintino, an hour´s drive from Algherro on the northwestern tip. Tourists are well-catered for here with restaurants and cafes. From here though there is also an option to go totally native by hiring a boat across to the beaches of the Asinara National Park where small albino donkeys, wild sheep and pigs roam.

Going in the other direction, travelling south on the SP49 for 45 minutes from Alghero, is Bosa. The only river side town in the whole of Sardinia, Bosa is relatively unspoilt by tourism and provides a wonderful way to wile away an afternoon strolling through the cobbled streets and admiring the charming squares and 16th century grand houses. Overlooking the town is the Castello Malaspina, the remains of a medieval fortress, and to the south is the Cathedral, whose mixed heritage of styles affords it a great example of rococo architecture. Wander down to the marina for lunch and admire the stunning Spanish Watchtower while you eat.

An hour on and you come to Tharros, an archaeological treat. Founded in the 8th century BC by the Phoenicians and later inhabited by the Romans before being abandoned in 1000AD, the area is now treated as an open air museum where you can walk around the tophet (outdoor sacred area), baths, temple, houses and artisan workshops. Excavations are still being done here and much of the artifacts discovered are displayed at the Antiquarium Arborense Museum in nearby Oristano, worth a visit in itself for its for its elaborate Gothic and baroque architecture and home to the famous equestrian tournament in February called Sartiglia. If you´re ready to visit a beach again then the popular Torre Grande is minutes away and has the biggest tower in Sardinia with a base diameter of almost 20m.

Back in Alghero and a trip to this thriving port would not be complete without a visit to the Grotta di Nettuno (Neptune´s Grotto). The caverns can be reached by boat or by road and are located at the bottom of 656 steps cut into the cliff wall. The views are spectacular both on the way down, looking out over the sea, and once inside as the stalactites and stalagmites are lit up to for maximum impact. Tours last around 45 mins and cost approximately 10 euros.

A Muslim magazine, "Al Islam" sent two reporters undercover. These reporters then attended Mass and took communion, followed by spitting out the consecrated host and taking pictures of it with a bite out of it. The magazine has since apologized.

While I’m certainly not advocating Christians acting like Muslims, can you imagine if the shoe were on the other foot? Imagine the Vatican newspaper, "l’Osservatore Romano" sending a Catholic undercover to take part in the Hajj, knowing that only Muslims are allowed within Mecca.

What do you suppose the repercussions of such an act would be? Would it be good enough if the publisher simply said, "We’re sorry", or would there be rioting in the streets?
hor" Which actions were met by a few innocent Americans having their heads lopped off. Thank you for making my point. When one insults Christianity, expect a letter to the editor. When one insults Islam, expect a verrrrrrrrrrry close shave.
joker: One cannot be racist against a religion, but thanks for playing…and BTW, not answering a question is a violation.

The Vatican would be wiped off of the map and it was COMPLETE ignorance for the newspaper to do such a thing. Do not make a mockery of one religion because you do not agree with the practices. If you have enough faith in your own religion, why do you feel it necessary to push it on others who believe just as strongly in their own faith? I am by no means racist and have defended many Muslim people who were under scrutiny, but this has gone too far.

Madurai is Known as Athens of the East, Madurai is a place of great historical and cultural importance. It is the oldest city in Tamil Nadu and Madurai lies on the banks of the River Vaigai. Madurai is one of the liveliest cities in South India it was originally known as Kadambavanam or the “forest of Kadamba” or the Nauclea kadamba. Legend says that Lord Shiva appeared in the dream on the king, Kulasekhara Pandya. The king was amazed to see drops of nectar or madhu falling down of earth from Lord Shiva’s matted hair. The “madhu” was so sweet that the place where it fell came to be known as Madhurapuri, which in course of time became “Madurai.” Tamil and Greek documents record its existence from the 4th century B.C. Being in the heart of Tamil Nadu, Madurai has fostered an essentially Dravidian and Tamil culture. Famous for its cultural and scholarly pursuits, the city had an academy consisting of critics, poets and savants highly esteemed both by kings and commoners. It was in Madurai that three successful conferences of Tamil scholars called sangams flourished under benevolent royal support.

Madurai is famous for housing one of the five traditional dance halls where Lord Siva, in his form as the Silver Hall or the Velli Ambalam. It is situated within the Meenakshi Temple. Madurai was the capital of the dynasty. The Meenakshi-Sundareswarar Shrine is its central glory. The Muslims invaded Madurai in the 14th Century. Later it came under the rule of the Nayaks, and the rule of Thirumalai Nayak, who is remembered as the maker of modern Madurai, was an eventful one. Madurai was known to be the centre of learning and Pilgrimage for centuries. Today, Madurai is a modern commercial and industrial city, with a vast University campus and is renowned for its weaving mills and dyeing industry. The chungadi cotton sarees are the speciality of this city with its colourful tie and dye motifs. Handicrafts, brassware, bronze items and the famous wooden toys of Madurai are some of the notable artifacts.

Sri Meenakshi-Sundareswarar Temple Synonymous with Madurai is the Meenakshi Sundareswarar twin-temple. It is the pivot around which the city has evolved. The Meenakshi Temple complex is literally a city on its own. It is one of the largest of its kind in India and undoubtedly one of the oldest too. The temple grew bigger with the contributions of each dynasty and victorious monarchs, into an enormous complex extending over an area of 65000 sq. metres. The temple was first built 2000 years ago and was substantially expanded during the reign of Thirumalai Nayak between the years (1623-55 AD). Lord Siva in his incarnation as Sundareswarar and his spouse Meenakshi, are enshrined in this twin temple. She is called Meenakshi because it is believed that her eyes are shaped like that of a fish. The name is made up of two words - meen for fish and askshi for the eye. There are four massive gateways enclosing these two shrines. Visitors are fascinated by the many paintings and sculptures that adorn this temple. A striking feature of the temple is the astonishing structure known as Ayiramkaal mandapam or the Hall of a thousand pillars in the outermost corridor. The hall has 985 pillars and each pillar features high, ornate, bold sculptures that look life- like. Viewed from any angle these pillars appear to be in a straight line it is an architectural masterpiece indeed. In the outermost corridors are situated the matchless musical pillars carved out of stone. When tapped, each pillar produces a different musical note and the hall resonates with the sound of this note.

Thirumalai Nayak Mahal : About 1.5kms from the Meenakshi temple is this palace that was built in 1636 by the ruler whose named it bears. The imposing edifice is famous for the stuccowork on its domes and impressive arches. The Sorga Vilasam or the Celestial Pavilion, measuring 75mx52m, is constructed entirely of brick and mortar without the support of a single rafter or girder. It is a marvel of Indo Saracenic architectural style. Among the other striking features of the palace are the massive white pillars, several of which line the corridor that runs along the courtyard. Connected by well-decorated arches, these pillars measure 20m in height and have a circumference of 4m. Elsewhere, there are polished black stone pillars of varying heights. It was King Thirumalai Nayak’s grandson who demolished much of the fine structure and removed most of the jewels and woodcarvings in order to build his own palace in Thiruchirapalli. That his dream never came true is another story. Thanks to Lord Napier, the then Governor of Madras, who partially restored the palace in 1866-72, and the subsequent restoration works carried out several years ago, today, we get to see the Entrance Gate, the Main Hall and the Dance Hall. These are worth seeing too. There’s a daily sound - and - Light show in English at 6.45 p.m and in Tamil at 8.15 p.m. This half an hour show extols the virtues of king Thirumalai, particularly his passion for the arts, his victories in battle and his love for his subjects. Palace is open for visitors.

Alagarkoil : About 21kms north east of Madurai, stands a celebrated Vishnu temple dedicated to Lord Alagar. The temple is situated on a hill amidst panoramic surroundings. The shrine is known as Alagarkoil and the hill is known Solaimalai. The temple also contain some beautiful carvings and makes the visit rewarding. Solai malai Mandapam, one of the six abodes of Lord Subramanya is located atop the hill.

Koodal Azhagar temple : This ancient and acclaimed Vaishnavite temple is noted for its remarkable architectural and sculptural magnificence. The Lord here is in the sitting or asana, standing or sthanaka and reclining or sayana postures, all enshrined in one vertical plane.

Despite what you may hear, the Google Adsense program is not for everyone. There are some types of web sites that do poorly no matter how hard the owners try, and there are others that should be doing well but the webmaster simply isn’t putting in the effort to make things happen.

Here are some tips to make Adsense work better for you. If you do them all and you are still not having any luck, for more details visit to www.instant-adsense-dollars.com then you just might be running one of those sites that don’t make money

1. Determine if your visitors are in the mood.

Like I mentioned at the top of this article, some web sites just dont work with pay-per-click programs. The best performing sites fall into one of these categories:

Sites where users go and expect to buy something while they are there. E-commerce sites fit the bill here.

Sites where users go to find specific information on something that they want to buy now. Music and video review sites, vacation information sites, resume building sites, etc. You don’t have to actually be selling these types of things; for more details visit to www.adsense-income-exposed.com your site can just be a Mecca for information pertaining to these things. Then, when the visitor comes to read your content, they are more likely to click on your ads.

Sites where people who have disposable income and a credit card like to visit.

This includes sites with money management, investing and lifestyle content.

Sites that draw a large amount of new users every day. Free coupon sites and How to sites are good examples.

Sites where people go who expect to read ads. Classified ads and shopping comparison sites fit into this category.

2. Make sure that your visitors don’t feel that you just want to grab their money
Give them plenty of relevant and well-written content. If writing isn’t your best skill then hire someone to do it for you. Good content brings steady traffic and steady traffic pays the bills.

3. Play by the rules

Google has some very specific Terms of Service for participating in their Adsense program. Learn those rules and follow them so you don’t lose all of your investment by getting shut out.

4. Use the tools that Google gives you

Google gives you tools for determining the best keywords for your site, measuring ad performance, and setting up different ad channels for fine-tuning ad results. These guys and girls are the 800 lb. Gorillas in the Pay-Per-Click market. They didn’t build these tools just to keep their programmers busy. Take advantage of their knowledge for they are very big and you are not!

5. Tweak, fine-tune and then tweak again

You should never be happy with your Adsense performance. If it’s good, then you need to make it great. If it’s great then you need to make it amazing. If it’s amazing then you need to take it to the UPS club.

The UPS club? Google sends all checks over $10,000 per month to the webmaster via UPS overnight delivery. Now there is a club that I wouldn’t mind belonging to.

6. Get more traffic

No matter how much traffic you have, you need more. More eyeballs translate to more clicks. Even if you are only pulling a 2% click-through. That’s a lot of clicks when you have thousands of visitors each day.

7. Experiment with new keywords

New keywords can bring new ads and new eyeballs along with it. Set up some new pages on your site and experiment with different content. Once you get something that’s working then refer back to Tip # 5.

You can see results in near real time when you use Google’s AdWords. Don’t be afraid to be different. If something that everyone else is doing doesn’t work for you, then invent something that does work and get it on your site.
www.thegoogleincome.com
www.googleadsense-empire.com
