Prophet Muhammed Prophecies?
There are certain things in religion that just scare the $hit out of me:
1-I heard yesterday that Prophet Muhammed told his companions that in the future people will ride cars
2-He also said that arab nations in the future will compete on to building the tallest buildings, which is currently happening
3-The quran states that the earth is oval, not flat nor round
4-The Quran also says that there is a star that has a thumping noise, which was recently discovered
5-Muhammed said that the Arabian peninsula was green before and will be green again, which is confirmed by modern science due to the relocation of rain because of global warming
and it was green before when the earth continents were one
6- The quran states that mountains hold the ground from shaking (confirmed by science)
7-Muhammed did the farewell Hajj (Pilgrimage) , which he died one year after, how did he know he was gonna die?
8-The quran told Muhammed (in a non direct way) he was gonna die after the Hajj
Also other prophecies and future predictions I didn’t mention here
I’m a muslim doubter
but these things mentioned in the Quran and sunnah (Muhammed’s sayings) bring me fear.
How could so much true information come from a man who could not read nor write?
Any explanations?
First of all, these are like Biblical prophecies. Most people aren’t familiar enough with the religious text to know the difference, so quite a few of your "prophecy conspiracists" will either take something far out of context, or completely twist the meaning of an ambiguous phrase and say "look here at how our religious text predicted this" knowing that you aren’t going to know the difference.
So, first off, do you know for certain the Qur’an actually says any of these things, or are you taking someone’s word for it without factoring in that the person telling you this may have an ulterior motive for trying to scare you and/or make their religious point of view look more valid in your eyes?
Second, do you know these verses, if they are in the Qur’an, were inserted originally, or is there a possibility they were added in later? Did the person who told you this tell you that the passage about the Earth being "egg shaped" has never been translated to mean that because the word they’re translating "dahaha" usually is taken to mean "a wide expanse". "Egg shaped" is a very, very, very, very, very liberal translation of that word.
And while we’re at it, the Earth is not "egg shaped". It’s true that it’s TECHNICALLY an oblate sphere, but its dimensions are so exact that surface irregularities like mountains not withstanding, for all practical intents and purposes it’s simply a sphere.
Before you become paranoid about what Islam says about various scientific phenomena, do the research for yourself, and check more than just sources which have a vested interest in you deciding Islam is right. I guarantee you’re going to discover in your search that there’s just as much scientifically wrong in the Qur’an as is right, which is generally true of religious texts in general. A lot of the prescient "facts" contained within them need you to want them to be that fact before they can be interpreted that way.
Let me give you an example. Proponents of "scientific facts" in the Bible will tell you, for instance, that the Bible has knowledge of undersea mountains, which we didn’t know about until we began oceanic exploration quite recently (in the last hundred years or so). So, that was a prescient fact that could only have been inspired by divine knowledge. It sounds a bit convincing.
However… those who claim that are basing it on the fact that Jonah said "I descended to the roots of the mountains. The earth with its bars was around me forever, But You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God" while he was inside the fish. First, you have to ignore the fact God isn’t imparting any knowledge, Jonah’s simply offering a prayer. Second, you have to not ask the question "were there windows in this fish for Jonah to look through?"
It’s not a reference to undersea mountains, of course. It’s Jonah talking about the fact he was brought low in life, and how his faith in God helped him rise above his troubles, but there turned out to be a random fact somewhere within human knowledge that you could sort of match up to it. What you have to decide is which is more likely:
1) There are all these divinely inspired, random facts hidden in the pages of the religious text you’re reading.
2) Humanity has accrued a truly immense amount of facts, and we only have a limited number of ways we can explain a wide variety of things, so chances are some of those facts might resemble isolated passages from whatever story you happen to be reading (be it the Bible, the Qur’an, the Bhagavad Gita, the Epic of Gilgamesh, Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, etc). If you don’t believe me, check out the Bible Code. It says I’m God twice in the Bible:
http://www.biblecodewisdom.com/code/andi-gravity-god
Now what more proof do you need I’m speaking the gospel truth than that?
None of that’s to say it’s wrong to decide what your religious text has to say is true. You ultimately have to decide for yourself what truth you find in whatever religion you’re examining… but it is healthy for you to keep a skeptical mind in your search.

It’s a satanic religion. It makes no difference if they predict something that comes true. False prophets have done so for many centuries. His life proves he’s as false as they come. He had a haram of girls. he told men to beat their wives and many other terrible things. They slit people’s throats and behead people. Get away from them before you are in real trouble.
The Bible is inspired from cover to cover but they say it’s corrupt in the places where it disagrees with the Quran. I’m sorry but the Quran is corrupt.

It is nothing that you mentioned…..there is much more evidance in Quran and Hadith ….
Because it is the promise of Allah to show them signs.
“Soon will We show them our signs in the furthest horizons, and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth” (41: 53).

OK well I guess I could go one by one:
1-I heard yesterday that Prophet Mohammad told his companions that in the future people will ride cars. Show me the verse please. I am sure it has to be some sort of view from modern perspective.
2-He also said that Arab nations in the future will compete on to building the tallest buildings, which is currently happening. Really, I heard the UAE was losing money like crazy.
3-The quran states that the earth is oval, not flat nor round. It is not oval is a a sphere or globe.
4-The Quran also says that there is a star that has a thumping noise, which was recently discovered. All stars make noise.
5-Mohammad said that the Arabian peninsula was green before and will be green again, which is confirmed by modern science due to the relocation of rain because of global warming
and it was green before when the earth continents were one. What??? A desert used to have plants? get out of here. Same thing about the American Southwest too! So what.
6- The quran states that mountains hold the ground from shaking (confirmed by science) Um Mountains are held TO the ground by gravity. they do not hold anything to the ground. At least not in the manor you imply.
7-Mohammad did the farewell hajj (pilgrimage) , which he died one year after, how did he know he was gonna die? You know who else did something a year before they died? Everyone that has lived at least a year.
8-The quran told Mohammad (in a non direct way) he was gonna die after the Hajj
Also other prophecies and future predictions I didn’t mention here. And by the way, your are going to die after you read this, unless you are already. if so, never mind. Also, books cannot talk.
So with this in mind, just relax, share and enjoy!

could i humbly suggest you google ‘prophesies of Jesus in the Old testament" there you will find pages of things that will blow your sox off! Jesus was predicted 100’s of years before his birth and all the infinite little details all match up in this One person - things which could not be orchestrated.
I am sad you feel fearful in your muslim faith. As Christians we dont have any need to be fearful because Jesus Christ came to show us the way to the God of Abraham, - He came so that we might have Life, and that more abundantly. Jesus Christ’s message is one of love and reconciliation, not fear and rejection.
Could I also suggest you google ‘ex Muslims for Jesus’ and read some of the testimonies of those who have found true peace and a loving relationship with the God of Abraham,
maybe a good place to find out more about Christianity, in a non threatening - no strings- environment is to google Alpha Course. This is an international, interdenominational movement which organises meetings, over supper, in various venues where people are free to openly discuss questions of faith and life.
May you find the peace you seek. I hope you are brave enough to thoroughly investigate Christianity - if you die tonight can you be sure you are going to heaven? only Jesus gives that assurance.

‘He could not read or write’ is incorrect translation of Ummi, the title of the Holy Prophet. It refers to an unlettered person. When applied to him, it means he was not lettered by a fellow human. There are many instances in the Hadith literature whereby he could read. The first ever Wahi(Revelation from Allah through Gabrael Archangel) was an exhortation: "read….".
In Sufi terminology there is one lm al Ludni the Knowledge granted through Spiritual forces by Allah alAleem. Sufis who take pride in being the slave of the slaves of RasulAllah can partake such knowledge then what about the depth of the knowledge of the Holy Prophet! All the prophesies made by RasulAllah are coming out to be true, at their time, one by one. The rest are going to be fulfilled in due course of time. There is no reason to have any doubt. Please read an authentic biography of RasulAllah (ask me to suggest the titles via email).

It is true that the Holy Prophet PBUH did not receive any formal education, but he was taught by God. Formal education does not give you foresight, but contact with God does. That is so obvious.
