It is similar to the ritual "bloodrite" practiced by Tusken Raiders.

1. All young sand people are gathered together and prepared
2. They attempt to capture various creatures
3. The creatures are fatally tortured
4. The remains of the creature would be used to create ritual masks, etc.
5. Then there is a marksmanship competition.
6. If a podrace is occuring they are fired upon.
References :
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Tusken_Raider

Here's a detailed explanation of the hajj: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hajj

Pilgrims dress in the special white clothing, and on the first day they perform tawaf, a circumabulation of the Kaaba seven times. They offer two special prayers and drink from the Zamzam.

Next, they go spend some time at Mina.

On the ninth day, they go climb Mt. Arafat where they hold a vigil, pray, and recite from the Qur'an. This is called wuquf.

After sunset, the pilgrims go to Muzdalifah, halfway between Arafat and Mina, and collect pebbles for the stoning of Shaytan.

Back at Mina, the pilgrims stone pillars (which represent the Devil) seven times.

The pilgrims then perform the animal sacrifices of Eid al-Adha.

The pilgrims have another circumambulation of the Kaaba. The tenth day they go back to Mina, on the eleventh there is more stoning, and they leave for Mecca on the twelfth day.

After the hajj is complete, the pilgrims perform a farewell tawaf.
