This is the what the preamble of the Indian constitution states:-

Nothing can be further from the truth. India today has become Islamic republic of India.Secularism means total independence of state and religion. In India it means just being pro-muslim. Anybody who knows anything about Indian politics today would know it for a fact that a "secular" party means a party which is against Hindu-Nationalists and would fight it tooth and nail to keep them away from power. Infact anybody who is sympathetic to the cause of Hindus/Sikhs is instantly dubbed as a "Right Wing Fanatic". However, these (pseudo) secularist find it decidedly convenient to hob-nob with the fundamental elements from the muslim community.UPA coalition which champions the cause of secularism in India has Muslim as one of its allies in Kerela !!! But ofcourse what else is secularism if not being pro-muslim?
Many of my friends and critics would accuse me of having a jaundiced vision ? I respect their views and am posting a few questions which I would like my "broad-minded & forward thinking" intellectual friends to answer. I would not censure any comments and would publish all.
Here are my questions:-
1. My first argument is based on two premises. a- India is a secular country and b- equality for its citizens. I can assume them to hold true given the fact that our constitution guarantees them.If these premises are true how come we have seperate rules for Jammu & Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir has a seperate constitution , a seperate flag and constitution. When all the other princely states and regions have been fully integrated into the Indian union, why this aberration? Is it a co-incidence that Kashmir is a muslim majority state?
2. Why did we never have a Hindu Chief Minister in J & K when we have had a muslim chief minister in most of the other states ? Does it mean that the muslims are not broad minded enough to vote for a Hindu/Sikh? Statistics proof that muslim majority disctricts vote in a muslim candidate a whopping 97% of times. A coincidence?
3. This one irks me the most. Muslims get Hajj subsidy to visit Mecca. They are provided heavily subsidised air tickets, free accomodation in Mecca and the best of medical facilities there.All funded by the tax paid by the Hindu Majority. There is even a special Hajj TerMinal at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi .There are Hajj commities in all major Indian cities so that the muslims do not have to bear the inconvenience of travelling to the Metroes for paperwork.
What does the Indian government do for the Hindus and Sikhs? Nothing!!! The government could provide the Amarnath Shrine committee with enough land and shamelessly bowed before the kashmiri muslims. Sample this. Hindus get no subsidy for kailash mansarovar pilgrimage. The trek to the holy lake is difficult and the terrain is trecherous. Indian government which provides the best medical facilities to the Indian muslims during Hajj and flies in highly trained doctors to ensure it , does not provide Hindus even the basic medical facilities.
3. Indian government wants to lift the ban on SIMI !!! Need I say more?
4. Why are all terrorists muslims? I would broaden the scope of this questions as Islamic terrorism is not limited to India but is a world wide malaise now. Why are we in denial ? What do we not admit that India is grappling with this when most other countries around the world have taken a cognizance of the situation ?
5. This should have been the very first question? Inspite of having an overwhelming Hindu Majority why is India a pro-muslim country. I have already established that it is not secular.
6. Why do we go that extra mile in accomodating muslims. There are millions of illegal bangladeshi muslims in all major cities of India. Yet the government does not throw them out because they are muslims. These bangladeshi muslims have been instrumental in most of the bomb blasts in the past couple of years.
7. A gurudwaara was razed to ground in Pakistan and temples were demolished in kazakhstan.Indian government didn’t even lodge a protest either in official forum or otherwise. However, the congress government was the among the first in the world to condemn the danish cartoons of the Mohammed in the strongest terms. And to think about it ,it wasnt even an Indian issue. The fact that muslims in India rioted in protest of the cartoons and
muslims’ sons are infact running indian govts.

Aside from the religious differences you have in India, it is apparent that you possess an intelligence level far above those who post in this Politics section.
I suggest you take your essay and discussion to a more enlightened and educated bulletin board.
You may not find the responses here to be thought provoking or insightful.

Right, hindus are at disadvantage in india. On top of it, congress is a party of low SELF ESTEEM people. Congress never believed that india can progress, its PV narsimha rao who made the progress, none of gandhi family could do it.
Even now, congress try to play safe and selfish game.
Anyway, it not only fault of congress and minorities, because the major damage to india is done by disbelief.
Hindus are divided based on caste and hate each other to death. Who would vote for caste in this hard times, indians did it in recent elections. Who would vote for a movie star in his first election. Indians do. Who would vote for Govinda for parliament, Indians did.
Well, we are messed up in every way, not because of muslims or christians, but because we are not mature enough. so, what can a minority learn from hindu, even if he wants to.
I in no way imply that indians cannot govern themselves. Indians are very intelligent, they are just need to grow out of ignorance.

I completely agree with the first 2 paragraphs of your question. India will never be an Islamic republic and more support to Islamic fundamentalism happens in north India than in the south.
Just as Muslims get subsidy for Haj, Hindus get for Manasarovar holidays and Christians for Jerusalem. But the court has stopped all these last month.
1. Kashmir has to be integrated into India at the earliest. The reason for having separate rules for Kashmir is probably because of its disputed territorial claims, rather than its Muslim majority. However special privileges of Kashmir should be scrapped at the earliest.
2. Muslims are not at all broad minded. They have no respect for others and they consider that a non-Muslim has not right to live. That’s what jihad is all about. You either kill a non-Muslim or die by his hands and go to heaven. Rubbish!
3. Hindus have Manasarovar subsidy and Christians have Jerusalem subsidy, I don’t know for what purpose are these subsidies being given. SIMI should remain banned.
4. Islamic terrorism is a pain across the world. They have a problem with everyone. But all terrorists are not Muslims. What about Malegaon and Modasa blasts?
5. India is NOT A pro-Muslim country. More than 90% of all MPs are Hindus. The President, PM and UPA chair person are non-Muslims.
6. All illegal immirants from all countries should be sent back. This includes Bangladesh and Nepal as well.
7. We should concentrate more on Indians and not people abroad. When Christians were murdered in Pakistan no Indian made is noise because it is none of our business. Let Pakistanis kill themselves, how are we bothered?
Decide by yourself the jaundice issue.

The points you have raised are mostly valid, barring a few.Over the year Congress lust for Minority(read Muslim) vote bank Politics leads to such situation where you are raising these points.
Islam as a religion or an Ideology is posing threat not only to India or subcontinent ,it is a danger to the peace of whole world.
Whatever my knowledge of islam is , now i,m of firm point of view however this truth is naked ISLAM cannot be reformed , it is not allowed to question .Only way it should be transformed , but how , when ,by whom, i don,t have the answer.

Tamil seperatist traitors like aftermath are being supported by the Chinese as is evident from the Chinese minister’s revelation.
People know it in their heart of hearts that Islam is a threat to freedom in India yet they keep living in denial being brainwashed by the leftist control of education and media.
Even the pro muslim lobby have said they have no problems with muslims living in their neighborhoods but they will not go and stay in a muslim neighborhood. That shows that at some level they do know that it is a problem and safety is a concern in muslim majority areas. It’s pure cowardice on their part to not admit it in public what they recognise to be the truth in private.

I dont know what to say specifically but i kinda agree with mukulbadshah. Although not entirely. Islamic society hasnt evolved to be civilized enough because they still live in medieval times when compared to non muslims. You may call some muslims as barbaric in nature when you compare them with a different community. So what is the solution? Its obviously not slaughter just like what bush did in iraq or what happened in gujrat riots. We need to inspire them to take the path of goodness and propsperity. This certainly shouldnt mean that we need to spoon feed them but inspire them to respect human values first rather than religious.
Unfortunately, whenever someone has tried to help muslims they’ve ended up spoonfeeding them or this what muslims perceived it to be.Example is afghanistan war of 70 where america helped mujhaideens to fight soviet union. After america left more than 40,000 afghanis were trained killers with guns and ammo. They had the power so they expolited it by blackmailing america for more help. Again this is all barbaric. Taliban is evil and should be wiped off because they’ve crossed all boundaries of immorality but if we dont inspire muslims to do the right then we will have taliban like fighting group in every country. Attacking their roots of beliefs of inhumanity and counseling them to do the right is the solution.
