Muslims prayed towards the Ka’bah (Black stone), while Christians prayed towards the heaven! Do you agree??
Muslims prayed towards an inanimate object (i.e., the Ka’bah at Makkah), while Christians prayed towards the heavens.
when i was a Muslim & while am performing salaat, there was always a figure before me . And if you traveled to Makkah following the qiblah (direction of worship), you’d discover Muslims prostrating, touching, caressing, and even kissing the Ka’bah. During Hajj (Pilgrimage) at Mina, hundreds would be killed and thousands injured following the idolatrous ritual known as the “stoning of the devil.”
The Arabic Qur’aan, believed to be incarcerated Truth and the literal speech of Allaah, also became an idol for Muslims. With washed hands, we held our Holy Book and many would actually kiss it. For Christians, Jesus was the Word of God made flesh, while Muslims held the Qur’aan as the Word of God made text.
EX MUSLIM
I hope, for your sake, that you have reached out and accepted the true Lord Jesus as your Saviour. I’ll keep you in my prayers. I pray anytime, anywhere because my Lord is everywhere. He’s not inanimate but alive. He’s the only God who is alive. All the others are idols made by the hands of mere mortals.
Only Jesus can hear and see. God Bless you.

And towards heaven, there are more rocks and stones (which some even fell on earth)… what are you trying to prove here?

Muslims pray toward the first house built to worship ONE God by Abraham and his first born.
However when we make dua (supplication) it is in any direction because Gods presence is not limited by direction.
Islam unifies mankind through prayer and monotheism so the direction of prayer is a blessing from the Holy Covenant through the descendants of Ishmael.
All Muslims are united in direction, faith and purpose. Every group in Islam is united in the direction of prayer.
That is the purpose of the Kaaba.
Mecca is such a blessed place and the miraculous spring given to Hagar is still flowing next to the building.
Mecca and Madina are the most blessed and peaceful cities and only Muslims are allowed to enter……. so we KNOW Islam is a religion of peace.
Whatever the Christians are doing it is not UNITING them ….
That is why Christianity is dividing into a million sects while ALL muslims pray in one unified Direction.
AllahuAkbar !

I’m glad that you’ve come to terms with the inconsistencies of the Islamic religion. And I’m ecstatic that you’ve come to understand the plight of Christians, and who Jesus Christ was. Whether or not you accept this as truth is another matter, but I won’t give you a hard time if you still haven’t chosen a religion. I’m just glad that you’ve decided to denounce the harsh words of Islam.
Peace be with you…and God bless.

We respect the Quran that is why we touch it when we are clean. We pray towards the Kaba for unity. When I am doing sajda while praying I do not think I am bowing before the kaaba; I dont even think about the Kaaba. I only think of God. We have to pray in some direction and muslims didn’t always pray toward the kaaba but later on they did so that there would be more unity and regulation to prayer. And when I pray as in make dua after praying salat I do look toward the heaven. Everyone does that. What does this prove?
And its funny how the ex muslims write that in caps so everyone is sure to notice. You think there are no ex christians? I think half the people are ex christians here but you never see them add to every thing they say that they are an EX CHRISTIAN

It is not a case to comparision in fact. And I think you should know that the people killed in Al hajj is because of abusing the stoning of the devil.
Anyways, hope the best for you.
Peace

[Shakir 2:140] Nay! do you say that Ibrahim and Ismail and Yaqoub and the tribes were Jews or Christians? Say: Are you better knowing or Allah? And who is more unjust than he who conceals a testimony that he has from Allah? And Allah is not at all heedless of what you do.
[Shakir 2:141] This is a people that have passed away; they shall have what they earned and you shall have what you earn, and you shall not be called upon to answer for what they did.
[Shakir 2:142] The fools among the people will say: What has turned them from their qiblah which they had? Say: The East and the West belong only to Allah; He guides whom He likes to the right path.
[Shakir 2:143] And thus We have made you a medium (just) nation that you may be the bearers of witness to the people and (that) the Messenger may be a bearer of witness to you; and We did not make that which you would have to be the qiblah but that We might distinguish him who follows the Messenger from him who turns back upon his heels, and this was surely hard except for those whom Allah has guided aright; and Allah was not going to make your faith to be fruitless; most surely Allah is Affectionate, Merciful to the people.
[Shakir 2:144] Indeed We see the turning of your face to heaven, so We shall surely turn you to a qiblah which you shall like; turn then your face towards the Sacred Mosque, and wherever you are, turn your face towards it, and those who have been given the Book most surely know that it is the truth from their Lord; and Allah is not at all heedless of what they do.
[Shakir 2:145] And even if you bring to those who have been given the Book every sign they would not follow your qiblah, nor can you be a follower of their qiblah, neither are they the followers of each other’s qiblah, and if you follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, then you shall most surely be among the unjust.
[Shakir 2:146] Those whom We have given the Book recognize him as they recognize their sons, and a party of them most surely conceal the truth while they know (it).
[Shakir 2:147] The truth is from your Lord, therefore you should not be of the doubters.
[Shakir 2:148] And every one has a direction to which he should turn, therefore hasten to (do) good works; wherever you are, Allah will bring you all together; surely Allah has power over all things.
[Shakir 2:149] And from whatsoever place you come forth, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque; and surely it is the very truth from your Lord, and Allah is not at all heedless of what you do.
[Shakir 2:150] And from whatsoever place you come forth, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque; and wherever you are turn your faces towards it, so that people shall have no accusation against you, except such of them as are unjust; so do not fear them, and fear Me, that I may complete My favor on you and that you may walk on the right course.
[Shakir 2:151] Even as We have sent among you a Messenger from among you who recites to you Our communications and purifies you and teaches you the Book and the wisdom and teaches you that which you did not know.
[Shakir 2:152] Therefore remember Me, I will remember you, and be thankful to Me, and do not be ungrateful to Me.
[Shakir 2:153] O you who believe! seek assistance through patience and prayer; surely Allah is with the patient.

Strange that you are more proud of being an "ex Muslim" than you are of being a Christian. Let me give you some advice, there are too many obvious "ex Muslims" (quotes are for a purpose) floating about lately that if you really want the slightest chance to be believed, at least wait until the wave disappears…

I don’t think the questioner was ever Muslim; in fact I doubt if he/she/it is Christian. I have yet to come across a Christian who does not respect the Heavens.
This is the first time I have seen a Muslim albeit an ex Muslim mispell Allah. If the questioner is indeed murtat, it is unusual for him/her/it to still show respect to Allah unless the questioner is indeed a troll and disguises mischief by showing false respect. Could be an athiest; doubt whether a Christian will act this way. Must be one of those scared evangelists who contradict the Christian religion.
Coming to the questions (yawn)
To expound re the direction Muslims pray towards ie the Kabaah: for unity yes, unity in simpler terms refers to uniformity. In other words, if I pray in the direction of the Kabaah at home, I would wish to do the same when I am in another country, pray in the direction of the Kabaah. This is the same reason I would also want to hear the call of prayer in Arabic and not in say Chinese if I am in China. For the sake of uniformity and unity and to avoid chaos.
Re: the black stone - it has no significance other than that, the prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) touched it. Since Muslims lead their lives according to his example, they also touch.
Re: salaah by Muslims.
I know Christians pray towards figures as do Hindus but I have never heard of a Muslim praying towards a figure or having a figure in front of them.
Re: touching the Kabaah - what is wrong with that. It’s a once in a life time opportunity for some. Granted there are some who get carried away and leave notes and become obsessed with touching, etc. If the questioner is indeed Muslim, he/she/it will know that 90% of pilgrims never get near enough to the Kabaah to touch it and you will find most people circumvent the Kabaah on the roof of the outer building.
Re: making an idol of the Quran.
I have never seen a single Muslim making an idol out of the Quran. This statement convinces me that the questioner is indeed a troll and was never a Muslim.
Regarding the Quran and washing hands - another giveaway. Washing hands only, does not cleanse you. And Muslims do not wash themselves in a certain way (wudu) to be physically cleansed - only a non Muslim or a poorly educated one would misinterpret this one since this is taught in kindergarten. For a murtat to still refer to the Quran as a holy book, sorry Holy Book, smacks of false pretense.
Re: idolatrous
that’s an adjective, right which describes in the sentence above the word ritual. The word is derived from the word, idolatry which means, the worship of idols.
The sentence above refers to the ritual as the stoning of the devils. Now how is that idol worhip, where is the worhip and where are the idols.
The above question represents not an ex Muslim, not even a wannabe Christian, perhaps an uneducated Hindu or maybe an ‘athiest’ apostate, if indeed such a creature exists. Another worrying thing, murtats there are a few to find in the world but to brag about it, is a rarity.
What is even more curious is that the questioner appears to be female. I have heard of a few murtat males, but the female murtat is even rarer as Islam is the only religion that offers more rights to females then to their male counterparts.
