At the time the Britain and France had control over many Arab countries and of courses the Arabs didn’t want them there. Hitler saw this as an advantage and knew he could gain some political friends and more allies. Britain and France did not give the Arab countries independence and they resented them. From the Arabs point of view they saw the Germans as a liberator. I think something in common with Arabs and Nazi’s is that they are very patriotic, some Arabic countries are nationalist today.

To answer you, this is a repeat of one of my answers to a simmilar question, What is the Arab fascination with Hitler and Nazism? Maybe it’s more deeply rooted that we had realized. On November 25, 1941 the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, went to visit Hitler in Germany. This in and of itself was not so unusual for, during much of World War II, leading Muslims including Haji Amin al-Husseini (Arafat’s uncle!) collaborated with the Nazis. The Arab leader was assured by Hitler that once he [Hitler] ridded Europe of its Jews, he would do the same throughout Palestine. Although Heir Hitler is no longer with us, the Arab world is still bent on finishing his work! The Mufti commented, ""Our fundamental condition for cooperating with Germany was a free hand to eradicate every last Jew from Palestine and the Arab world."

Further, today’s Arab propagandist uses a technique called "Turnspeak," whereby the aggressor becomes the "victim" and the true victim becomes the "aggressor!" The term was first used by journalists to describe German Nazi propaganda after it invaded Czechoslovakia in March of 1939. Because the truth is the exact opposite of the information being disseminated, it is psychologically difficult to counter and leads to confusion. And THIS is their ultimate goal! A classic example of "Turnspeak" is the Arab claim that Jews are like the Nazis and they (the poor, poor Arabs) are the victims of a "Holocaust!" By doing so, the Arabs try covering up THEIR OWN close connection with the Nazis while turning the Truth on its head!

Actually Nazis mostly ran to South America. And you’re forgetting that the Israeli underground proposed an alliance with Nazi Germany. While British soldiers were risking their lives freeing the Nazi camps, they were being attacked by Zionist and murdered in Palestine. So where was the Mufty immediately before WWII? He was in Italy, a country that the Irgun and Stern gang wished to use as a model for an Israeli government. Here’s a question- How many Palestinians LIVING in Palestine during WWII proposed an alliance with Hitler like the one proposed by Lehi?
I’ld like to see where you got the information that Nasser was Nazi officer under Rommel as well as Saddat (he was in a British prison, after admittedly trying to obtain help from the ITALIANS for freeing his country from Britain- as did the Jewish underground).
@dandyl, othere than the Mufti (who wasn’t in Palestine during WWII) how many Palestinians had "Nazi connections"? How many actively fought against the British? Some Zionist were so good at killing the Brits, that they were given medals after Israeli independence- even a commemorative stamp!
