Ramadan: Is it haram to steal internet from your neighbors ?
Salaam
Lol ,I am stealing internet from my neighbor today because my internet is closed .Although I dont think they mind ,is it Haram that I never told them ?
If it is illegal to do that then technically yes.
If it’s illegal, then ask them because we LOVE YOUR QUESTIONS

I’m an atheist. Morally stealing is stealing. Funny how I do not need a god to know that you ought not to take from others what does not legitimately belong to you. I do not fear a god or a nonsensical hell in order for me to refuse to do this.

If they did not want their wifi to be available to others it would have a code you have to enter. You are not stealing, they are making their connection available for others to use just like taking your laptop to a coffee shop, library, airport, or even bus terminal that has wifi. Some cities have wifi all over their downtown areas.

Why is their INTERNET coming to your property?
If it comes to your property then it is yours, like a ball over the fence.
you can throw it back if you like but it should not come to your property.
Like Satellite feeds, why are they going into a country that it was not made for? If it comes into my area then its mine!

It is not haraam so long as you don’t cost them money, [some service providers charge by amount of usage] and as long as you don’t look up anything objectionable or that you know they would not like being looked up ‘in their name…’ The reason it is not haraam is because they have the option to lock it, and are obviously choosing not to. I.E. they are ok with others using it.
Salaam/Peace

I don’t think it’s right..you should take neighbor’s permission to use their internet.
sometimes stealing internet can lower its speed, and that will upset you neighbor for sure.
