Why do all Muslims bow to worship the black meteorite contained in the Kabah in Mecca?

All muslims must face this direction pointing towards the ancient meteorite which fell to earth, why is this?

No. Muslims Don’t Worship Ka’bah;
We Worship Allah - The True and only God.

According to the Islamic creed: None is worthy of worship except Allah.

The Ka’bah is simply the direction to which the Muslims turn their face when praying to God Almighty.

There is a widespread false-conception and misunderstanding among the non-believers about the Ka’bah!
Many non-muslims say and preach that the Muslims “worship” a stone building - the Cube.

The fact is that the Muslims worship nothing - none - but One God. The Muslims do not worship the Cube nor the Black Stone; They worship Allah - the Living God - the Most Exalted in Power and Might.

The Ka’abah in Makkah was built by Prophet Adam. God commanded Prophet Ibraheem to reconstruct it.

Allah gives this answers to non-believers:
Behold! We showed the site to Ibraheem, of the Sacred House saying: “Associate no partners with Me and purify My House for those who compass it round or stand upright in prayers, or bow or prostrate themselves in worship.
[The Holy Qur’an, Surah 22:26]

The Muslims follow the religion of the Great Prophets. Ibraheem (peace be upon him) was one of the greatest prophets of Allah. The present versions of the Old Testament and the New Testament agree with this too. The Muslims follow Prophet Ibraheem’s life as an example and imitate his complete submisstion to the Will of God. Located in the Valley of Ibraheem, the Holy Ka’abah is the House of God, therefore, most sacred building. Being the very first Mosque on the earth, The Haram is a sacred sanctuary and symbol of respect and ritual purification.

Further more let’s read an other verse from the Holy Qur’an about the Sacred Mosque:
Turn then your face in the direction of the Sacred Mosque. Wherever you may be turn your faces in that direction. The people of the Book know very well that this is the truth from their Lord.
[The Holy Qur’an, Surah 2:144]

This is the Qibla (direction) uniting the Muslims as a global community also provides a universal symbol of the True Faith. God says in the Holy Qur’an:
So from where ever you go (for prayers), turn your faces in the direction of the Sacrred Mosque and wheresoever you are turn your face towards it that there be no cause of dispute against you among the people, except those of them that are evil-doers. Fear them not, but fear Me. And that I may complete My favours upon you, and thatyou may be guided.
[The Holy Qur’an, Surah 2:150]

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

  1. Daniel Says:

According to Islamic tradition, the Stone fell from Heaven to show Adam and Eve where to build an altar and offer a sacrifice to God. The Altar became the first temple on Earth. Muslims believe that the stone was originally pure and dazzling white, but has since turned black because of the sins it has absorbed over the years.

Islamic tradition holds that Adam’s altar and the stone were lost in the process of Noah’s Flood and forgotten. It was Abraham who found the Black Stone at the original site of Adam’s altar when the Archangel Gabriel revealed it to him.[8] Abraham ordered his son—and the ancestor of Muhammad–Ishmael to build a new temple in which to imbed the Stone. This new temple is the Kaaba in Mecca.

Muhammad credited with playing a key part in the history of the Black Stone. In 602, before the first of his prophetic revelations, he was present in Mecca during the rebuilding of the Kaaba. The Black Stone had been temporarily removed while a new structure was being constructed. A story found in Ibn Ishaq’s Sirah Rasul Allah (as reconstructed and translated by Guillaume) shows Muhammad settling a quarrel between Makkan clans as to which clan should set the Black Stone in place. His solution was to have all the clan elders raise the cornerstone on a cloak, and then Muhammad set the Stone into its final place with his own hands.

However, a recent (2004) scientific analysis of the Wabar site suggests that the impact event happened much more recently than first thought and might have occurred only within the last 200–300 years.

They think it’s the stone of god and it’s their connection to him. Makes as much sense as Catholics think a wafer is the body of a dead person.

they don’t worship it, what they are facing is Mecca, the town that Mohamed was born in, but it is an interesting meteorite. Some say it was a pillow used by Jacob the night he wrestled an angle and won and was granted Gods blessing

They also do some pre-Islamic rituals like the casting of stones to drive evil spirits away during their pilgrimage to the site, which has always confused me.

The reason why Muslims pray five times a day towards Mecca is because the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) did so. He lead his life as a Prophet perfectly and was an example for how mankind should be. Of course, there are more reasons behind it such as, to always remember God, to always worship God and to be pure.

Can you get your facts right please before asking questions. Muslims don’t worship the kaaba it’s the direction of the prayers muslims have to pray in.
BTW, did you know that Prophet Abraham(as) (christians and jews know of his existance too) built the kaaba? And that stone isn’t a meteorite. It’s the stone Allah(swt) sent down to help Prophet Abraham(as) build the Kaaba. It turned black because of the amount of sinners touching it.

But, if you were to go back to the ancient times, This was something the pagans used to do. So Mohammed took this idea from them.
