Muslims and hajj?
Muslims, have you performed a Hajj?
Is the site of the hajj, accessible to non-Muslims (say film or documentary makers, professors or researchers, anthropologists, construction workers) or is it forbidden to them (only Muslim visitors allowed, only Muslim construction workers, no outside researchers)?
Thanks for your answers!
omegalop…
I don’t already know the answer. Why would you think that?!
Hi Go get my dinner,
I’m agnostic, but as someone with a Christian background,
I know that Christians (of all denoMinations) do not have any commands or practices of making pilgrimmages.
Within a 20 Km circumference of Holy Kaabah in Makkah and Masjid Nabwi in Medinah, entry of non Muslims is banned since last 1400 years. All workers, doctors, engineers and technicians who work there must by Muslims.
No exceptions are allowed.

I have not performed Hajj yet but i intend to either this year or next year God willing. While at the time of the Prophet Muhammad (sa), non Muslims were very much allowed and welcomed into Muslim mosques and the Holy Mosque in Mecca, times have changed. The extremist regime in Saudi Arabia now only allows their particular brand of Muslims to attend Hajj. Soo soo sad

everyone is wwelcome as far as I know.
Think about it this way, as an absolutits religion, they want more people on their side.
Not like the Jews where they are only a definite group of chosen people.
Just dont try and convert them……..that can get ugly…

Non-muslims aren’t even allowed into the city of Makkah, so how are you supposed to go on hajj? You’re not allowed into the city of Madina either.
