Ramadan , how many of you went to hajj? and what year was it?
for me i didn’t perform Hajj ,i wish i will soon inshallah when i save more money
Assalamu Alaikum.
It is an experience that one has to experience oneself. It is more than one can portray it’s spiritual beauty in mere words. May Allah give you the thaufeeq and to all Muslims..
Hajj tests our Islam in practical as a Muslim. It is our lifelong prayers and patience that is tested there. It is easy for one to pray and speak or listen about patience. But it is difficult to be practical when we sacrifice a little bit for the sake of Allah. To control the self when things go wrong as per out little plans. Unfortunately many of us fail somewhere in that difficult journey. Though everything is told to be made smooth according to our calculations, still there comes loop holes and troubles at somewhere. Simply a test… But Allah is the Most Merciful, He forgives much of our shortcomings as long as our intentions are for His sake and tried to proper in our best.
Few year’s back, I was there with my family. I choose to walk on foot rather than transportation to enjoy fully my Hajj. Everything was beautiful and smooth till the night after Arafat, when we got stuck on the pedestrian way to Muzdalifa… Most of pilgrims after walking around 6KM from Arafat towards Muzdalifa and being tired, choose to sit and sleep at the very beginning of Muzdalifa…A Mistake due to ignorance. l knew well Muzdalifa ahead was empty and free..if I could just pass that crowded area..But we got crushed there to be at the same till dawn. A wide road for a thousands to walk altogether was narrowed to a passage of 5 or 10 men. Just imagine how the situation was. I kept reminding myself, my test is at the start. Nothing is gonna solve the situation but to face it and be patient. I could hear Many Hajis shout and loosing their patience. It was a Mass of mankind made to standstill the whole of night. I got a small place to sit among those who were sleeping but were not ready to cooperate with our pathetic situations. I can see a sea of men behind me standing and waiting for a passage..some did not even get a space to put down the bundles & carriages that were on them. That was our Muzdalifa that we all were destined. We Prayed Maghrib and Isha at the way we could… I saw a US Muslim with his family beside me… I heard him keep reminding us..O Muslims be at ease…I loved him for his words and that just reminded me, much of the troubles in the Muslim community we face today are due to our own ignorance of the common senses that we lack in much of our situations. If only the first arrivers to Musdalifa could walk a little ahead and make a way for their brothers who are millions to come after them, such a bad situation would not have happened. After all, Allah is testing us. He only tests if we can give Him. He actually don’t take from us as He is in no need of any of His creations. Just like a father giving the child few chocolates then the father asks ‘Child can you give me one’… The father don’t need any. But a loving child is willing to give. Just that willingness is all required.
Jazakallah Khyran.

I didn’t perform hajj either, i wish i would insha’Allah! every year whenever i see people performing hajj on TV, i always wonder how those millions of muslims can’t unite anymore, how those millions can meet together performing the same thing, sharing the same love to God and the prophet (SAW) and still they have many problems among each other which they can’t and dont want to solve?? it’s really sad =(
