    We don’t.

Well we can, but it’s not required like the pilgrimage to Mecca in Islam.

A simple google search will tell you the sites.

There is no dogma requiring us to make any pilgrimage, maybe some desire to see the historic sites of the life of the Buddha, but that’s a decision they make on their own.

Although pilgrimage is not an essential part of Buddhist practice, some Buddhists do find value in going to sites where practice has occurred for hundreds or thousands of years. Such visits can inspire the commitment to greater practice.

The places in India associated with Buddha’s life and teachings - Bodh Gaya, Varanasi, Lumbinin, and other locations attract thousands of pilgrims each year.

Buddhists also visit the famous temple complexes of Southeast Asia, such as Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

Zen Buddhists especially like to visit the sites in China that are featured in stories about the early Zen masters. These include the 6th Ancestor’s temple, Nanhua, and temples founded by Yun Men and other great Zen masters. Buddhists also visit many of the famous cliff and cave grottoes, such as those at Longmen and Datong.

Finally, each Buddhist country will have temples and other locations that are visited by Buddhists within that country.
