Inventing a new religious practice which is not found in the sunnah of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) whether good or bad amounts to putting a step ahead of Beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). :)
Any addition to Islam & Sunnah after the death of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is invalid. :)

Allah(swt) says in the Quran "And invoke not besides Allah any that will neither profit you nor hurt you, but if (in case) you did so, you shall certainly be one of the polytheists and wrong doers. And if Allah touches you with hurt, there is none who can remove it but He; and if He intends any good for you, there is none who can repel His favours which He causes it to reach whomsoever of His slaves He wills. And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 10, Verses 106-107 so people who worship Graves commit shirk when they ask help from the dead. Bid'ah is something dangerous and should be avoided. Committing Bid'ah will result in Rasulullah (saw) rejecting us as being amongst his people on the Day of Judgement. May Allah protect us from being among the people of Bid'ah. Rasulullah (saw) said: “I will be at my pond from before and some of you will be brought in front of me and then they will be removed from in front of me. So I will ask, 'Oh My Lord, these are my people!'
