Of course, the Christians were ignorant about it.Nor they knew anything about the history and traditions of the Arabs that Abraham had laid the foundation stone for the Kaaba.

"For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt [yourselves], and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands."

We believed that the Torah was corrupted based on revelations from Allah.Corruptions may be in the following:Hagar was a slave girl,Ishmael was not legitimate son of Abraham,Isaac not Ismael was sacrificed, Abraham lied about Sarah being his sister.

This was further supported by above verse when Moses himself saying that his people will corrupt the word of god when he was gone. But not all things would be corrupted beyond recognition,if one is equipped with knowledge, still one can read the Bible in between the lines and put together bits and pieces to form some truth.

There was no doubt about it regarding the well that God gave Ishmael, the fact that God even promised him a great nations (Communities of Islam) refuted the lie that he was born of a slave bond maid.

"How can you say we (the Jews) are wise and the law of the Lord is with us, when in fact the false pen of the scribes has made it into a lie?"

Jeremiah 8:8 (RSV)
References :
The well in Genesis 21:19 is said to have been in the area of Beersheba, which is in central Israel. Central Israel would be a likely place for the events to have happened. But it is difficult to believe that Hagar could have wandered as far as Mecca, or at least the area Mecca is located in, carrying a small child.
References :
False.

Even if Muslims make the claim that this is the same well from which Hagar drank, there is no way to prove such a thing and it's highly improbable, anyway.

_____________
And further...even IF it could be shown (and it can't) that this is the same well, that would not prove Islam to be true.

_____________
Jurgen: You BELIEVE that the Torah was corrupted, but other than the Koran saying so -- you have no proof of it. Indeed -- the Dead Sea Scrolls show that the Old Testament books were copied meticulously and were not corrupted.

Additionally -- the Bible manuscripts (both old and new testaments) are older than the Koran. It is basic textual criticism that a newer text must prove itself by the OLDER one, and not the other way around. What that means is, if the Koran differs from those stories, then the Koran is just wrong.

Believe what you want -- but you're just wrong.

Further, you can claim that Moses laid the stone, but again, you have no proof of any such thing. It's one thing to believe it, or to claim that it's traditionally said that he did, but it's total intellectual dishonesty (or willful ignorance) to state that he did as though it is an established fact. It's not.
References :
The location of that particular well can only be guessed at. If there is a tradition that the well of Zamzam in Mecca is the same well, then it's still only a guess since the story comes from a time around 2000 BC.
